Stud Services

We attempt two (2) natural breedings. Half of the stud fee is due at the time of the first breeding. The stud fee is required to be paid in full within two weeks following the whelping. Upon receipt of the balance of the stud fee, the signed litter registrations papers will be mailed to you. Three (3) puppies are considered a full litter.

If the breeding does not result in conception, all but $150 of the deposit will be refunded. However, the $150 can be used as a credit if the breeding is repeated.

**We reserve the right to take pick of the litter in lieu of the stud fee. We reserve the right to decline stud service. All stud fees are subject to change without notice.

Negative Brucellosis test results within 30 days of breeding. (It can take a week to get results back.)

OFA Hip and Eye certifications (copy)
OFA Elbows - recommended

Ovulation tests prior to breeding

Generally, the 11th and 14th day of the heat cycle brings the best results; however, each dog is unique. Therefore, it is recommended that you have smears and/or progesterone tests done to determine the optimal breeding time for your female. Please call us if you have questions about these tests.

Artificial Insemination Breedings

The owner of the female is responsible for all costs associated with artificial insemination including the shipment of frozen or chilled semen.

Boarding

Occasionally for travel purposes or pre-arranged vacation, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, owners may want to leave the bitch overnight or for an extended period of time. This is fine, however, we need notice as soon as possible. For the well-being of the bitch, the owner will supply ample dog food to cover the stay and will be charged a $15/day boarding fee payable upon release. Proof of vaccinations, including rabies and bordetella (within 6 months) are required.

Ike completed his AKC Master Hunter title and qualified for the 2015 Master National this Spring in 5 weeks by going 6 x 6. and had a repeat performance and qualified for the 2016 Master National. In 2017 he accomplished the necessary passes and did so with flying colors and obtained the UKC HRCH (Hunting Retriever Champion) title. The goals for the rest of the year are to pass the AKC Master National and to run the Golden National Specilty.
