2019 Terms of Sale and Guarantee

This contract for a Stonewood Retrievers, LLC puppy is entered into by breeder Stonewood Retrievers, LLC and purchaser as detailed below.

TERMS OF SALE AND GUARANTEE

Puppies dewclaws have been removed. He/she will be de-wormed with Fenbendazole. All puppies are vaccinated at six (6) weeks of age. All puppies will be Vet checked prior to going to their new homes. A record of vaccinations and worming is included in the puppy packet, along with a copy of the veterinary examination. The puppy will be ready to go to their new home at 8 weeks of age.


We recommend, but do not require, that the purchaser take the new puppy to purchaser’s Veterinarian within three (3) working days of receipt for a "well puppy" examination. Your Vet should examine the puppy to make sure he/she is healthy and sound. If the Veterinarian finds the puppy to be unsound or unhealthy, the puppy can be returned at your expense. A written explanation of findings from your veterinarian and the original puppy packet will be required. Any and all veterinary fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Solely at the breeder’s choice, the puppy is sold with limited registration. Limited Registration does not prevent puppy from being campaigned in any AKC event, except conformation classes. Breeder can change Limited Registration to Full Registration when hip, elbow and eye clearances have been obtained, and copies of clearances (OFA for hips, elbows and CERF for eyes) are sent to breeder along with a junior title or better. Breeder will then provide purchaser with a signed form that can be submitted to the AKC. Breeder has taken care to mate two dogs that have genetic clearances and sound temperaments.

Puppy is guaranteed for Hereditary Hip & Elbow Dysplasia. The OFA, will be the sole judge in determination of defect.


Guarantee will be a replacement puppy only from a future litter, as long as Stonewood Retrievers, LLC is still raising Labs and Golden Retrievers. Solely at the discretion of the breeder, the defective puppy may remain with purchaser or be returned to breeder along with the registration papers transferred back to Stonewood Retrievers. Breeder does not pay any veterinary fees, or any other associated costs such as shipping. Proof of defect and proof of spay or neutering must be sent to breeder.

This guarantee is in effect until puppy reaches 24 months of age. If the dog has been bred prior to 24 months or obtaining OFA and CERF clearances, this guarantee is null and void.


Purchaser agrees to provide quality dog food, veterinary care and proper care throughout puppy’s entire life. Your puppy will be eating Country Vet Naturals Puppy Food while with the breeder.


Should purchaser no longer wish to keep the dog, breeder must be notified. Breeder may opt to keep dog/bitch or place it in a suitable home, if possible. Breeder will be available to purchaser for dog’s entire life should questions arise. Updates by email, phone, letter and pictures would be greatly appreciated.



DEPOSIT AND RESERVATION
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. Deposit will be returned if breeder cannot provide the gender of the puppy, or purchaser can put deposit on next litter if they wish to.
